Ron was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on October 31, 1938. He came to Florida in 1952. He graduated from Lake Worth High School in 1956, Palm Beach Junior College in 1958 and the University of Florida in 1961 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He was employed by the City of West Palm Beach in 1961 where he served as a Civil Engineer, Director of Traffic and Transportation, Director of Engineering and completed his career as its City Manager when he retired in 1993.
Ron is survived by his daughter Arlene Worley (Tom) of Chatham, Virginia, his granddaughters, Alyssa Rogers (Joey) and Kara Gavitt both of South Boston, Virginia, Regina Schutta (Tennessee) and grandson John Michael Schutta (Alabama) and great granddaughter, Riley Jo Rogers. He was preceded in death by his son, David Schutta.
Ron loved the West and being on horseback in the mountains of Idaho on a working ranch. every year for over 30 years.
At his request there will be no service or celebration of life.
