

Roy G. Kunnemann, age 95, of Palm Beach Gardens, departed this life on November 2, 2017. He was born in Collinsville, IL to the late Alvin & Ann Kunnemann. He was a Seabee and World War II Veteran. When he returned from the service he met the love of his life, Lucille Kunnemann. They have now reunited 41 years later. They moved to Florida in 1957. He was an entrepreneur from the moment he arrived. Roy started his first business selling water softeners. This enabled him to purchase property on US1 and PGA Blvd. where he developed and owned Lu-Roy Trailer Park and Mobile Homes Sales. His other businesses include Palm Beach Traveler Park and Lu-Roy Villas. He never knew what "slow down" meant. In addition to running his businesses, he made time as a Juno Volunteer fire Fighter, eventually became the Juno Fire Commissioner, was a past President of the Florida Mobile Home Association, Past Commander of the VFW Post 9610 member of the Moose and Elks. He was a founding member of the Jupiter Medical Center Foundation. He lived life to the fullest and kept a full social calendar that many would not be able to keep up with. When he retired, he bought a beef cattle ranch in Arkansas to keep him occupied for part of the year. Preceded in death by his wife Lucille in 1976: he is survived by his children, Susan (Tom) Dinsmore, Roy (Kathy) Kunnemann, Sharon (Issy) Kunnemann; grandchildren Stacy (Ken) Valdivia, Bryan (Corie) Kunnemann, Heather (Todd) Gross; great grandchildren Wyatt and William. The family will receive friends at Howard-Quattlebaum Funeral Home starting at 1:00pm until service time of 2:00pm on Wednesday, November 8, 2017.Entombment to follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens. A celebration of Roy's life will be held at the Moose Lodge, Palm Beach Gardens starting at 5:00pm.
