Passed away on January 20, 2019. She was a beautiful woman of integrity and character. A fierce warrior in her fight for life. A great wife, friend, sister and mother. If she was your friend, you had a real friend.
Born in Downey, California and grew up in the Los Angeles area. She was a playboy bunny, managed the Origins counter at Macy’s for 20 years in the Gardens Mall. Sylvia loved working out, gardening, and especially dogs. She and Doug had a houseful of dogs throughout their 24 year marriage. She really loved golden retrievers and even a yellow lab. She enjoyed walking the dogs with Doug.
Sylvia will be greatly missed by her husband Doug Pennell, sons Donald Grayson Cox (Melissa), Ian Pennell (Jared), brother Ray Ramos, sisters Yolanda Medina, Angela Medina; grandchildren Grayson Cox, Hudson Cox and Alexia Lane, as well as many great friends.
Donations in Sylvia’s memory can be made to the Peggy Adams Animal Shelter, Big Dog Ranch, and Faith Lutheran Church and to Christ Fellowship Church.
A Celebration of Life will honor Sylvia on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 11AM, Faith Lutheran Church, 555 US Hwy 1, North Palm Beach followed by a memorial luncheon at 1PM, Abacoa Golf Club, 105 Barbados Drive, Jupiter.
