Troy Eugene Mischke

Troy Eugene Mischke, a devoted husband, proud father of three, loving son, brother and uncle, respected colleague, and cherished friend, passed away on August 19, 2026 at the age of 52.

Troy was deeply devoted to his family. He shared a loving life with his wife of twenty five years, Alison, and took immense pride in their three children, Jack, Dani, and Caroline. His greatest joy came from the time they spent together, and his love, guidance, humor, and steady presence will remain with them always.

A proud graduate of the University of Florida, Troy majored in Mechanical Engineering and remained a fiercely loyal Gator throughout his life. He began his professional career as an aerospace engineer at Pratt & Whitney and went on to earn his MBA from Carnegie Mellon University. Troy then entered the energy industry and later joined NextEra Energy. He built a distinguished 20-year career, serving as Director of Natural Gas Trading where he built the gas trading team which today is one of the largest gas trading groups in the world. His leadership, expertise, humility, and dedication earned the respect of colleagues throughout the industry. He valued not only the work itself, but also the friendships he built along the way.

Troy had a gift for bringing people together. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends, whether preparing a favorite meal or smoking a brisket on the grill, and especially cherished sharing good food with the people closest to him. He also had a deep love of music and could almost always be found with a song playing, adding a soundtrack to the moments he enjoyed most. He was equally at home at a Gator football game or spending a day fishing on the boat, where he found happiness creating lasting memories with those he loved.

Troy will be remembered for his love of family, generosity of spirit, strong work ethic, and remarkable ability to make others feel welcome. His life was defined by the people he loved, his sense of humor and ability to make those around him laugh, and the many lives he touched.

He is survived by his wife, Alison N. Mischke; his children, John F. Mischke (Jack), Daniele N. Mischke (Dani), and Caroline V. Mischke; his parents, Frederick N. and Kathleen A. Mischke; father-in-law, John C. Walker; sister, Christina M. Mischke, his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Christina D. Highfield, Nicholas C. Walker, Adam J. Walker, and Natalia Walker. He is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly: Jakob J. Wegmann, Riley F. Highfield, Chloe G. Wegmann, Lindsey A. Highfield, Walker T. Highfield, and Cole B. Walker. He is predeceased by his mother-in-law Arlene F. Walker. He will also be deeply missed by many extended family members, friends, and colleagues.

A Funeral Resurrection Mass will be celebrated Saturday, August 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 13591 Prosperity Farms Road, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 33410.
