Faye was born in Madison County, Kentucky on January 29th, 1939. Faye is preceded in death by her parents, Bessie and Jeptha Tipton, her loving and devoted husband of 66 years James Keith Amster, her five brothers, Eugene, Chester, Thurman, Carl, and Howard Tipton; three sisters, Thelma Berger, Mary Samuels, and Rhoda Goins.
She is survived by her children, Keith (Carey), Greg (Tascha), Troy (Ann), and Teresa (Dallas)Bogle, and grandchildren Jessica (Justin) Olds, Cassidi (Dalton) Elowsky, Keifer, Jared, Dallas (Jordan) Bogle, Brooke (Landon) Moore, Jack, Thomas, and Mary Evelyn Amster, great-grandchildren Caiden and Ella Olds, Kollins and Knox Moore, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
Faye’s greatest joy was serving her husband Jim and her family. Faye was adored as “Neno” by her nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren who will miss her gentleness, wonderful cooking and sweet Christmas treats. She always believed the best in her children and grandchildren and delighted in their presence and laughter. She celebrated their successes and hurt when they hurt. She enjoyed having her family around her and playing any board or card games. In her last few months of life, she simply longed to be in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in her heavenly home and anticipated the day to be with those who preceded her in death and worship God together.
There will be a family memorial service at South Florida National Cemetery on Monday morning.
