It is with great sadness that we announce Bobbie’s passing. She is remembered and missed by her children Paige (Neville) and Colin (Lisa), grandchildren Evan, Lena and Reid, and her beloved sister Joan (Brian). Bobbie was predeceased by her loving husband Bob, her brother Peter (Nancy), sister Gwen, and her sister and close companion Barbara (David) who passed just a week after her.
Born in Bella Bella, Bobbie had to travel by boat to attend secondary school in Ocean Falls. She completed a Bachelors of Science in Zoology at the University of British Columbia, and after that met her husband Bob, a geologist. Bobbie had fond memories of living in Whitehorse where the couple enjoyed curling and had to bundle up their daughter and put her on a sled to walk around town. In the late 1960s, the family moved back to North Vancouver where their son Colin was born. Bobbie worked as a technician for many years with Metro Labs hematology. She loved gardening, trips to Hawaii, travelling with Bob, and spending time with family and friends.
We are incredibly grateful for the excellent care she received at Lynn Valley Care Centre.
A private memorial tea will be held in the summer, please contact the family if you wish to attend.
No flowers by request; donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of B.C. or the Parkinson Society of B.C.
