Barbara Jean Marette (nee Scott) was born June 14, 1939 in Detroit Michigan and did go gentle into that good night on December 19, 2021 at 82 years of age in West Vancouver Canada surrounded by her children. Survived by her son Steven Marette (Katherine Allard-Marette), daughter Leanne Marette (Bob Styan), daughter Shannon Marette; and three grandchildren Duncan, Vanessa and Zoë. She was predeceased by her husband Captain Billy Marette on April 29, 2015 GMT. Barbara was the eldest child of her family and is survived by her sister Linda and brother John, and was predeceased by her brothers James and Barrie, and her parents Jane and Wallace Scott.
Barbara was selfless in her love and support to her family and friends. She had an endless supply of positivity and calmness that could tame the impatient, boost the unconfident and uplift the disheartened. She was always there as a friend, aunt, cousin, daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.
Barbara will be missed and loved by many and forgotten by none.
There are plans of the celebration of life in the coming months once travel restrictions ease.
