First Memorial Funeral Services & Boal Chapel and Memorial Gardens
1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, BC
August 7, 1932 – February 6, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernd Cramer, 87, of Vancouver, BC. He went peacefully in the early hours of Thursday, February 6th, 2020, after a long and fulfilling life.
Bernd, (Bernie), is survived by his wife, Ruth Cramer, daughters Sonia Cramer and Sharole Tylor, Son-in-law, Aaron Haras, and grandchildren Amalia, Malina and Carsten.
Bernd was a true Renaissance man. He was a mechanic, wood worker, metal worker, boat builder, sailor, motorcycle racer, artist and musician. As a Father and Grandfather, he could do anything, he was larger than life, and his love and support was limitless. He was a true family man. In his later years, all he really needed to be happy was a good cup of coffee, his family and friends, and a tin of Copenhagen.
Thank you to everyone who supported Bernd in his last years. He had a unique sense of humour, which every one of his caregivers can attest to.
A Memorial Service will take place on:
Saturday, March 14th at 2 p.m. at The Danish Church of Vancouver 6010 Kincaid Street, Burnaby, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Danish Church of Vancouver would be appreciated. If you would like to share some thoughts or memories, please visit Dad’s guest book at dignitymemorial.ca.
