Brian was born in Prince George, BC and grew up in Point Grey, Vancouver. He attended Queen Mary Elementary and University Hill Secondary schools. Sadly, at the age of 18 he was in a serious motor vehicle accident and suffered a traumatic head injury after which he never recovered full physical or mental health. We’ll remember Brian for his bright smile, entrepreneurial spirit, quick and clever sense of humour, and his love of family. He was predeceased by his step-mother Ivy (née Taylor), father Norman, mother Margaret (née Blakemore), sister Diane Potter, and brother Christopher. He leaves behind his brother Stephen, sisters Valerie Grey and Elizabeth (Betsy) Muir, and half-sisters Phyllis Hrad, Kathleen Bradshaw, and Sheila Pollner. His family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Central City Lodge in Vancouver for their kind care and support of Brian during his final years.
Rest in peace, dear brother.
Remember me
To the living, I am gone.
To the sorrowful, I will never return.
To the angry, I was cheated.
But to the happy, I am at peace.
And to the faithful, I have never left.
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard.
So as you stand upon a shore, gazing at a beautiful sea - remember me.
As you look in awe at a mighty forest and its grand majesty - remember me.
As you look upon a flower and admire its simplicity - remember me.
Remember me in your heart, your thoughts, your memories of the times
we loved, the times we cried, the times we fought, the times we laughed.
For if you think of me, I will never be gone.
