Cecelia Eleanor Mulcahy, daughter of Allan Patrick Mulcahy (1921-1996) & Zoe Varcoe Mulcahy (1928-2004) passed away on January 8, 2025 . She is survived by her brother Francis Xavier, sister-in-love Vera and many friends and relatives.
A funeral mass will be held at Corpus Christi Parish, 6350 Nanaimo Street in Vancouver on January 29th at 11:00 a.m. A small reception will follow in the church. Inurnment will take place at a later date at the Gardens of Gethsemani, 15800 - 32nd Avenue, Surrey. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice in memory of Cecelia.
Cecelia was born in Kamloops, but lived most of her life in Vancouver, attending Corpus Christi and Kingsford Smith elementary schools, and Killarney High School. She made lasting friendships with people throughout her entire life. Each new move, every new experience was an opportunity to get to know people, and she kept in touch with many of those people right up to her death.
She was a courageous, determined woman who refused to take life and the circumstances she found herself in lying down. Every day was a day to sing, even when she was barely conscious there was a song on her lips.
She was loved, and is so missed.
