FROEHLICH, Danny (Oct 29, 2003 – Nov 18, 2020)

It is with the most broken hearts in the world that we announce the sudden passing of our son and brother, Danny.

Danny was loved fiercely by his mom, Amy, and sister Fiona. He will be missed terribly by his dad Jeff, extended family and close friends.

While Danny’s journey was not an easy one for him or his family, he was always loved, never forgotten and most importantly, never given up on. Danny was a fragile and beautiful soul who loved his family and friends, but somehow was never able to love himself.

We will miss his quirky ideas and his beautiful blue eyes. His hilarious sense of humour, usually at inappropriate times, and infectious laugh never failed to make us laugh. It was however, his immense love for his little sister that showed his true compassion and empathy.

Addiction and mental health issues are real in our community. Please reach out with support and without judgement if you know someone who is suffering. This can affect any family no matter how much you love your child or how hard you try.

We love you Danny, your life mattered and we promise you will never be forgotten.

Should you desire, please make donations in Danny’s memory to the Foundry: https://foundrybc.ca/northshore

I don’t know what to say. I’m shocked and my heart goes out to Daniel’s family and friends. Daniel was always so caring and genuine. He was so polite and he could be so gentle and down to earth. He was the light of the party and no one could ever replace him. I miss you already buddy, you were taken too soon. Fly high 🕊💗

Wow. Where to even begin with such a great person, i could start with the way daniel thought me to “Not judge a book by its cover but by what’s inside” To see someone not from what they look but from what they are, to really understand that each and every single one of us is going through something even though we don’t show it. My prayers are with you and your family.

When I first met daniel my friends who have met him before me said we had very similar goofy personalities. They were correct, I dont think I've seen somone with anything but a smile on their face when they saw him. We will miss him. May he rest in peace

I remember the first time I met Daniel.
Me and my friend were hanging out outside of an elementary school and he went up to us and asked to shake our hands. We both did. He looked at us in the eye, smiled than continued off with his day.
I remember thinking later that day that I have never met someone so welcoming. I only met him once but for that given moment it was definitely one that impacted my life.
Rest in Peace Daniel; forever in our thoughts.
