Born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia on April 22nd, 1932 to Catherine and Davie he was 93 and half years old, he lived a full life.
Adrian was taught the bagpipes by his father at a young age which prompted him to join the Black Watch Highland Battalion at 18 years of age in 1950.
He served overseas in West Germany as part of the post war allied occupation. While stationed overseas he played at the Royal Edinburgh Tattoo. He actually got to play in the Tattoo subsequently two more times in other pipe bands.

It was during his posting at Cold Lake Alberta he met his first wife, Simone, the mother of their children. After five years in the RCAF he once again returned to civilian life.
He was then employed with the CN Police in Edmonton. During many years he was diligently working on his education. After a transfer to North Vancouver he then decided to attend Simon Fraser University full time. At that time he also played in the Seaforth Highlanders band and then the Shriner’s Pipe band.
