David was born on March 25, 1930 in Vancouver, BC to Harry and Helen (Fraser) Sinclair. Worked at Johnston’s Terminal as a long distance heavy haul truck driver for many years then TMS Transportation until his retirement.
David was preceded in death by his wife(s), Beverley (1970) and Georgina Rose (2005), his father Harry, his mother, Helen and brother, Sonny. He is survived by his five children, Curtis (Nydia), Brad (Sue), Craig (Gail), Sandra and Christina, his grandsons, Tyler and David, granddaughters, Stephanie and Jessika, great granddaughters, Sophie and Claire, his brothers Donny and Jim, and several cousins, nieces, nephews, and very special family and friends.
David loved reading Louis L’Amour books, playing card, horses, camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with family. He was very proud to be apart of Vancouver history when he worked on the original ALRT (now known as Skytrain) hauling the beams during the dead of night. He was a avid hockey fan who watched the Canucks win or loose. He was a long time member of the Mt Seymour Lions Club and was very active in the community. In his later years he loved to spend time watching Survivor with his devoted furry friends, Ares, McLean, Frodo, Linden and Fraser. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.
The family of David wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at Evergreen House for their amazing care in his last few months and a special thank you to Mary MacAulay for everything she did for David during his illness.
No funeral service will be held at his request.
