It is with heavy hearts, and tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis “Mun” Amundsen, who left us on May 10, 2024. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and laughter.
Dennis was forever the consummate gentleman. He was a beloved father, brother, partner, uncle, grandfather and friend, and was cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His mischievous smirk, cheeky sense of humour, and unwavering generosity touched the lives of so many. He was a wonderful story-teller and trickster, and kept us all on our toes, even in his last days.
Dennis was a lover of cars, and will be remembered for cruising around in one of the various Cadillacs he had over the years. He often showed his generosity by picking up the dinner tab, or buying the first round of drinks, and his love of real estate was evident…he always had his finger on the pulse of a “good real estate deal”.
Dennis’ memory will be forever cherished by his girls; his partner Sandra, and his daughter Carmen (Jennie). Dennis is survived by his sister Lorene, brothers Bruce and Randy, Sandra’s children Leslie (Nathan) and Andrea (Drew), grandchildren Jackson, Lexi and Emma, and nephews Kris and Eric. He will be remembered fondly by his best friend since elementary school, Al Bird (Gloria), and dear friends Otto (Anna), Gene, Pipe, and Ron, as well as countless other friends and family. Dennis is predeceased by his sweet mom, Laura and father Otto.
