1925 - 2023
Our dear Diana Belhouse [Munroe, Bampton] passed away peacefully at Lions Gate Hospital at the age of 97. Diana was predeceased by her first husband Larry Munroe, her second husband Henry Belhouse, and her twin Sister Virginia Reiffer [Bampton] and brother-in-law Mathew Reiffer. Diana leaves behind her Bampton Family, the Belhouse Family, her nephew Randy Reiffer, and many godchildren whom she cared for so deeply. Everyone will miss their “Auntie Diana”
Diana was always involved in the causes and charities that could make life better for both citizens, animals, and the environment. From Greenpeace, to Covenant House, to protecting the parklands of North Vancouver. She was a devoted gardener and her rhododendron collection was her pride and joy. In the last few months, she was able to host the North Vancouver Garden Club and just recently the North Vancouver Organ Club in the quiet of her much-loved gardens.
Diana described herself as being “feisty’, and right up to her few last days was totally in tune with all her charities and the goings on in federal and local governments and had strong opinions about protecting vulnerable women and supporting the various animal welfare charities over most of her life. Recently she was made an honorary lifetime member for her support as a founding and active member of the University Women's Club of Vancouver and her work with Hycroft Manor.
Diana will be interred with her first husband at Oceanview Cemetery.
