Diana was born in Vancouver, BC to Geraldine and Reginald Richardson on September 4th, 1931. She was pre-deceased by her daughter Pamela, sisters MaryBeth, Joan, and Meryl, and brother Brian. (She was also known as Diana Fraser following her mother’s remarriage to Judge Bruce Fraser). She is survived by her husband Bob, son David, daughter Jane (Curt), 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, bothers Bruce and David (Janet), and many nieces and nephews.
Diana was a dedicated public servant serving on many boards and committees, including the North Shore Health Board, St. Francis-in-the Wood Anglican Church, and in particular as councillor for the District of West Vancouver, where she fought tirelessly for the needs of the public.
Diana and her husband Bob, whom she married in 1955, enjoyed a wide variety of activities together, including skiing, tennis, overseas travel, and sailing. They were long time members of the West Vancouver Yacht Club and enjoyed great friendships and many adventures along the coast of BC. They lived in West Vancouver for 40 years then retired (1996) to Woodlands near Deep Cove, North Vancouver. Diana was always passionate about waterfront living and looking after her gardens, but her love of family and friends was her true gift. May she rest in peace.
