Both Doug and Deb will continue to be loved by many including his daughter Lisa and his Grandchildren Christina, Alison, Jamie and his brother Jack and niece Carron.
Doug and his family immigrated to Canada from Scotland where he worked as a pipefitter in the shipyards on the Clyde. In Canada he worked for Vancouver Shipyards for 44 years, passing along his knowledge and experience to many apprentices.
An early member of the J.P. Fell Pipe Band, he moved through the ranks of his role as Drum Major. A post he was proud to hold leading the band in many North Shore events and the Burns Supper where his personality shone through with his Address to the Haggis.
For many years Doug was also the Musical Director of the North Shore Veterans Council, helping organizing Remembrance Day each and every year.
Doug will be remembered and missed by many. “Jamais Arrière”
