It is with deep sadness that we announce our beloved Edith passed away peacefully at Creekstone Care Centre in North Vancouver, BC, at the age of 93.
Edith was pre-deceased by her loving husband Dennis of 56 years, sister Jean, half-brother Walter, nephew Doug, sister-in-law Shirley, brother-in-law Mac and niece Jewels. She will always be lovingly remembered by daughters Linda and Lila, grandchildren Bram and Heather, nieces and nephews Carole (Paul), Brian (Diane), Bruce (Joni), and respective families, and cousin Nora and her daughters Taya and Karen.
She graduated from Fairview High School of Commerce in Vancouver in 1949 and worked locally as a Secretary at Scott Foster Welding Supplies Ltd. for 14 years.
After raising her family, Edith volunteered as Office Co-Ordinator and sat on the Board of Directors of the First Mature Women’s Network Society for 28 years, which was based in downtown Vancouver.
Edith was a generous, kind, thoughtful and “sweet” woman who was loved by everyone she met and whose lives she touched. She always found joy in helping others. Edith had a long, happy life filled with wonderful warm memories shared with family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Sincere heartfelt thanks and gratitude go to the extraordinary team at Creekstone Care Centre for taking such wonderful care of Edith during her stay with them.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your charity of choice in Edith’s memory.

“Those we love don’t go away.
They walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near.
Still loved, still missed and always dear.”
