It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edna Hunter on June 6, 2021 in North Vancouver, BC. Edna was predeceased by her husbands Gordon Stahl and David Hunter, along with her parents Fred and Justina Resky, and her sisters Olga Rawlyk, Rosa Samson and Dora Resky. Edna is survived by many in her extended family.
Edna was born on March 12, 1922 in Hague, SK. During her lifetime, Edna lived and worked in Saskatoon, Montreal and Calgary before settling in Vancouver. She spent many years of her professional life doing a job she loved at Westcoast Transmission Company.
Edna will be remembered for her strong zest for life and her varied interests in history and the arts. She enjoyed hosting dinner parties, going to classes at North Shore Eldercollege, playing bridge with her friends, and engaging in thoughtful and curious conversations with others.
She will be missed. May she rest in peace.
Thank you to the doctors, nurses, caregivers and friends who provided such excellent care and support for Edna in her later years.
As per her wishes, there will be no service.
