It is with fragile and tender hearts that we share the passing of our dear sister, Elaine Kathleen Moyls who passed away very suddenly at North Shore Hospice in the early morning of Monday, March 24th, 2025 at the age of 68 years.
Elaine was born in St Vincent’s Hospital in Vancouver, BC to Francis David Luke and Grace Moyls. She grew up on Beachview Drive in North Vancouver and graduated in 1974 from Windsor Secondary High School and continued education at BCIT (and/or UBC) and later attended Emily Carr Granville Island and then started her career at CIBC for 35 years.
Elaine lived in Kitsilano for 35+ years and loved her surroundings. She had a passion for teaching children and was a Sunday School Teacher at Sutherland Bible Chapel and a member at Granville Chapel and 16th Avenue Gospel Chapel.
She is predeceased by her parents both Francis David Luke Moyls (1987) and Grace Helena Moyls (nee Edwards) (2021).
Elaine is survived by her 3 sisters, Maureen Moyls, Arleene Ewing (Robert) and Nancy Moyls along with her niece Jessie Ewing and Godson Hayden Ewing.
Elaine was cremated, and no service will be held as per her request. Her memory will live on in the stories we tell and the love she left behind.
