Condolences to Tracy and Kelly and families.
I last saw Eleanor in March and she was very happy because Beef Rouladen were on the menu that evening. We reminisced about the fun times we had.

I am very sorry to hear that Eleanor  passed away.  I agree that Eleanor was a wonderful person always willing to help others . She surely will be missed.  Rest in Peace .

Eleanor was the nicest, kindest person I ever met. Always helpful, with a smile. She was a great friend and companion to Gordon Hollands, my father-in-law. As Gordon aged and required full time care, Eleanor visited him in Evergreen House every day. She became a favourite of the staff there, who appreciated her easygoing nature and desire to help out whenever necessary. I will miss her.

I’ll always remember the days when Grandma would babysit my sister, cousin, and me. We’d get so excited to go to her apartment—not just because we got to see her, but because it meant hanging out together, laughing, and, of course, getting to visit Penny, the little dog her neighbor had that we were all obsessed with.

We loved having sleepovers at her place. We’d camp out in the living room, stay up too late, and look out over the city lights from her apartment window. I’m pretty sure we were loud and a little annoying, but she’d just smile and let us do our thing. 

She was steady , welcoming and always there. There was comfort in her presence, and in the way her home always felt like a place we could return to, no matter what.
