JULY 29TH, 1959 ~ MAY 20TH, 2018
We are very saddened to announce that Beth passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on Sunday, May 20th, 2018, in North Vancouver, at the age of 58. We take comfort in knowing she will now be with her parents, Dr. Stanley and Eleanor Morrill, as well as her sister, Meredith, and brother, Chris. Mom will always be greatly loved and fondly remembered by her two children, Connor and Mallory (Ron), as well as by her siblings, Nancy (Richard), Patrick (Colleen), and Keith (Jane). She was a wonderful Aunt to her nieces and nephew, Thea (and daughter Harper), Morgan, Erica, Natalie, Andre, Jacki and Katie, and will always hold a very special place in their hearts. Beth was the most fun-loving, caring and selfless person and will be so sadly missed by her many friends and family. Beth was born in Fort Frances, Ontario and moved to West Vancouver with her family in 1963 at the age of four. She was the youngest of six siblings and was a cherished little sister to them all. Beth worked at Lions Gate Hospital for over thirty years in the Cardiology Department where she made many great friends along the way. Over the years, her conscientious and compassionate care was greatly appreciated by patients there. Beth loved to travel and go on adventures with her loved ones. She especially loved Hornby Island, and spent many summers there, where she always had a wonderful time with family (including her beloved dogs, George & Kirin) and friends. Beth’s travels most recently took her to Peru & Ecuador in 2011, where she went to Machu Picchu and spent time exploring the Galapagos with her daughter, and to Greece in 2017, where she attended a live concert at the Acropolis and travelled by donkey on the Island of Hydra. Beth was always eager to try new things, including white water rafting, bungee-jumping, sky-diving, scuba-diving and zip-lining. She was a free spirit who loved to dance, sing, write poetry and enjoy nature. Beth joyfully welcomed people into her home and was a wonderful cook. She lived by the Golden Rule, treating others as she would like to be treated, tolerant and accepting, with a kind word and a smile for everyone. Beth always made her family laugh and was loved by all who were lucky enough to know her. We are all very thankful for the time that we had with Beth. A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.
