It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ernst “Ernie” Jurgen Karl Hirsekorn, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend on October 26, 2024. He touched so many lives and will be remembered for his warm smile, sense of humor, kindness and the twinkle in his eyes.
Survived by his loving wife 36 years, Merle, step daughter Colleen (Landon), granddaughter Maya, step son William, by his brother Bernd (Marilyn) and niece Tara (Ben), Jenna and Bradley of Kelowna.
Ernie’s family sincerely thank the wonderful doctors and nurses of Burnaby General Hospital and Palliative Care Unit for their gentle and attentive care.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
