Faith Adele Beech, age 89, passed away suddenly on April 11, 2021. Faith, the only daughter of Alice Pearson, was born and raised in the West Point Grey neighbourhood of Vancouver. Faith attended Crofton House School and joined CIBC in 1949. She retired in Toronto in 1992. Faith married the love of her life and her best friend, David Beech, on October 8, 1955. David preceded her in death in 2007.
Faith loved gardening and creating a beautiful environment. She loved colour, except for yellow. Faith’s home (with all its beautiful vignettes), her garden, and her wardrobe all reflected her love of design.
Faith found joy in her wonderful family and friends, especially during her working years, and loved the happy moments and shared memories. Faith loved adventure and recalled with fondness her many trips to Hawaii. Faith was loyal; she loved to laugh and enjoyed a good story. She lived life on her own terms, which included a daily 5 pm Manhattan. Her laughter and vitality were infectious and brought joy to everyone around her.
A Celebration of Life will be delayed until the fall. Her ashes will be placed with David’s at St. Martin’s Church in North Vancouver. While Faith loved flowers, please consider making a donation in her name to a charity of your choice.
