It is with sadness that the family of Garry Baroni announce his sudden passing on September 21, 2024 at the age of 85 in North Vancouver.
Garry worked in the hospitality industry for much of his career and then managed the apartment building he lived in until his passing. He was a charismatic storyteller with a sharp wit and memory. Never one to take life’s obstacles too seriously, Garry had a resilient and optimistic outlook and was always available to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his former spouse Sheila; children Stacy (Greg), Curtis (Amber); grandchildren Blake and Ryan; sisters Sandra, Jennifer, Cynthia (Eric), Melissa (Tony); 13 nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Donna; brothers-in-law Ken, Jim and Warren. Predeceased by his parents Arnold and Florence; sister Shelley; brother Ray; and brother-in-law Bob.
Garry found life’s richness in the social connections he made and he will be greatly missed by a long list of very close friends and extended family.
A celebration of Garry’s life will be held in the Spring of 2025.
