After a lifetime of health challenges that Ian always seemed to conquer, it is with sadness his family announces his passing on June 19th at Nanaimo General Hospital. Ian is survived by wife of 22 years Lorie, son Spencer, father Mike, and brother Colin, and predeceased by mother Joan.
Ian was successful in his career in the life insurance industry, and helped and guided many advisors to success with their clients. An undergrad of UVIC and obtaining his MBA from UBC in 1986, Ian spent most of his working career in Vancouver and Calgary, and only recently returned to his childhood hometown of Nanaimo.
There will be a Celebration of his Life held Wed August 24th, at 2p.m. at the First Memorial Funeral Services & Boal Chapel in North Vancouver.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the charitable organization he worked the hardest for as a fundraiser and volunteer, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. www.jdrf.ca
