Iris Wilma McHugh

She died peacefully at Nicola Lodge Care Community, in Port Coquitlam, BC., on Saturday, April 16th, as a beautiful pink full moon shone brightly guiding her soul. She would have celebrated her 92nd birthday, May 23rd, 2022.

Iris was pre-deceased by her loving husband Walter of 67 years, her son Gary Walter, and more recently her older sister Doreen and youngest sister Joan.

It brings our families comfort knowing that they are rejoicing together! Iris will be dearly missed by her daughters Gayle (Gord), Susie (Phil), and daughter-in-law, Lek. Six grandchildren Kara-Leigh (Brenton), Michelle ( Livio), Rory, Melanie, Cameron and Bradley. Five great grandchildren Sienna, Nathan, Brodie, Nash and Isabella (Bella). And her sister Bernice and her brother Gary Wilson.

Everyone that knew Mom knew she loved to bake decadent desserts that could win over anyone’s heart! …especially our Dad’s! She was the love of Dad’s life and for that, we are all so grateful that they are reunited once again!

As per Iris’s request there will be no Memorial Service, if you wish you may honour her memory by making a donation to any charity of your choice.
