Jack was born in Montreal and moved to Vancouver in 1968 with his young family. Honourable, dependable, and known for his dry sense of humour, Jack was a devoted husband to Barbara for 55 years, a loving and supportive father to Lynn (Mike) and Vern (Leanne), and a beloved Granddad to Kaitlyn and Kyle. He loved his brother Ken, and deceased siblings John, Bella, May and Jeff.
Jack had a passion for trains, vintage cars and enjoyed hosting barbecues for family and friends. He worked for CP Railway, CP Transport, and the Vancouver Park Board. Jack was an active member of St. Clement’s Anglican Church as People’s Warden and resident historian. His work was recognized with the Order of the Diocese of New Westminster for decades of volunteer work. Most recently he found a new community at Amica Edgemont and was grateful to their staff and the North Shore Community Care Nurses who ensured his golden years were vital and active.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the future to commemorate a life well-lived.
