Mother of seven, grandmother, great-grandmother, Jane was a University of Toronto graduate, a member of the Leslie Bell Singers, a tireless community volunteer with numerous organizations, a Girl Guide leader at the provincial and national levels, an innovative home economist, a food writer, a local TV and radio personality, a lover of music, sun and travel, the “keeper of the cookies” for her grandchildren, sister to Beverley, and a dedicated friend to so many.
The family thanks Julie Stavrev, Peggy Chisholm, and the staff at Evergreen House for the exemplary care they provided over the past eight years. In lieu of flowers, Jane wished that donations be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada. No service by request.
