Dear Roxaneh - I was walking through the cemetery today with my mum and brother, our father Gerard passed away suddenly just 3 weeks ago and we wanted to walk through to see what it is like. We were shocked and saddened to come across Jilla's headstone, seeing she just passed beginning of last year. It was very emotional to come across this, it's been many years since I have seen her (and you), I remember coming to your house, and staying for a sleepover when my family moved, and I believe we painted our faces as ninja turtles?! Sebastien remembered the mousse cakes we would get from your family bakery, we got them for nearly all birthdays, they were so good. Sebastien is keen to get one if you are still making them...
Nothing prepares you for the terrible heartache of losing a parent, and I was especially moved given my most recent experience of losing my dad to imagine what you have gone through. I am so sorry for your loss.

Countless memories visiting Jilla khanoom's home as a child to play with Roxaneh, how kind and generous she was towards me. She had a capacity to tell life's truths in a funny way and was a natural storyteller. Will be missed so very much. Roohetoon shaad Jilla Joon.
