Keith was born in Romford, Essex in the UK. A cheeky kid from the beginning, he spent his early days worrying his mother, visiting his grandmother, hanging around record shops and taking trips to street markets around London. Being an active child, he found a passion for racquet sports early on and played badminton competitively throughout Europe with his brother, Kevin.
After graduating from Loughborough College with a Degree in Sport Management and Physical Education, Keith made the move to Edmonton in 1980 as the head Badminton Professional at the Royal Glenora Club and later became the Racquets Professional at Jericho Tennis Club in Vancouver in 1984.
He then transitioned to the Director of Recreation and Creative Conferences with the Delta Pacific Resort and Conference Center where he spent 12 years before founding his own company, Maneuver Services and Events. He gained major contracts through his company like Playdium, the Vancouver Planetarium, LimoJet and the Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre.
Keith was a true professional and cared deeply about the Private Club Industry. He worked as the General Manager of the Vancouver Rowing Club for 15 years before his retirement in 2020. He volunteered for over 18 years as a National Board Member, giving countless hours to the local Pacific Branch. He obtained his Certified Club Manager Designation and was extremely proud of that accomplishment. In 2023, he was recognized by the Pacific Branch for 30 years of service and dedication.
In his personal life, Keith was a wonderful father, husband, and friend. He met his wife of 36 years, Linda, in Vancouver at Expo 86. Together, they raised two beautiful daughters, Marie-Michelle, and Gabrielle in North Vancouver. He had a passion for cooking, reading, travelling and his golden retrievers. He loved hosting and was well known for his quick wit, sense of humour, big heart, and even bigger laugh.
Rugby, squash, and golf were also a huge part of his life, having played Division 1 for the Vancouver Rowing Club rugby team and remaining an active member of the Evergreen Squash Club. Some of his longest standing friendships stem from these sporting communities.
Keith was kind, generous, outgoing, spontaneous, and full of surprises. He was always happy to sit down with anyone for a good chat, a laugh, and a beer. He is deeply loved and will live in our hearts forever.
