Romain, Leola (nee Bennet) Born in Victoria, BC July 27, 1930. Welcomed into heaven on January 27, 2025.
In her youth, Leola was an award-winning singer, turning down a recording contract to marry Henry, her life-long love. Together they raised a family and celebrated 64 wedding anniversaries.
Leola sang in and directed church choirs until 2020. She loved reading, was an avid sports fan, and made the best desserts. She excelled at laughing, even at herself.
Remembering her are: children - Lydia (Bob), Everett (Sandi), Scott (Kathy); grandchildren - Tami, Jon, Alana, Mark, Gloria, Noah, Andy, along with their partners and families.
A worship service and celebration of Leola’s life will be held on Sat Feb 8 at 2:00 pm. at St. Andrews & St Stephen’s Presbyterian Church, 2641 Chesterfield Ave, North Vancouver. Rev. Martin Baxter officiating.
