Margaret Bruce Hay Gibbons

(nee Robertson)

Mom passed peacefully with her loving family by

her side on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the age of 86.

Mom was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1932. This is

where she married and had her three children. At

the age of 35 the family immigrated to Winnipeg,

Manitoba, Canada , where Mom forged a new life

and cultivated many wonderful life long friends. At the

age of 68 she re-located to Vancouver, where again

she spread her beautiful zest for life and enjoyed her

golden years. Mom’s accomplishments in life are far

too many to mention, but her family and our well

being was her first love. Mom will be remembered by

many for her generous spirit, her unconditional love

and her great short bread and scones!!

Mom was predeceased by her precious sister Jean

Connelly and her Daddy Charles Robertson. Left to

mourn Mom’s passing is her family Elaine Gibbons

(Matthew, Karolina, Garrett, Paige (Braun), Gerald

Gibbons (Chelsea, Donny, Rial, Khezia, Connor and

Rhett), Audrey & Roy Robertson (Andrew, Elliot,

Sarah), Jim Gibbons and Gwenda Dilley. Also, her

three precious great-granddaughters, Luna, Lily

and Abigail and her wee pal Charlieboy.

A service will be held in honour of Mom at the Valley

Church a t 29th and Lynn Va l l e y Road on

Wednesday, June 6th at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers,

please consider a donation to Maggie’s favourite

charity, BC Children’s Hospital.
