I am very sad to learn of Mary's passing away. She was a wonderful co-op manager at the Asia Pacific Co-Operative Management (APMCP) at Capilano UNiversity. She was very helpful, caring and supportive to all of us to find our co-op placement. 
May she rest in peace.

I was part of BC PYPS through the 1970's and read of Mary's life through them.  I've shared it with my daughter who is doing further study in Devlopment and wants to work in that broad field. My memories of Mary go back to Camp Douglas and youth group times in the 70's. My friend Grace's big sister - full of light and laughter that touched our lives.  Kind thoughts and prayers.

I was so very sorry to learn of Mary's passing. I knew Mary through our mutual passion for tennis as we spent many hours side by side, and across the net from each other, working at perfecting our "game".  Always with lots of laughter at the mis-hits, and cheers for when the elusive "pro-shot" was made, Mary was determined to master this sometimes infuriating, but rewarding sport. I will miss her smiling face and encouragement on the courts.

Mary, I will miss you dearly.  I will never forget the many tennis games we played - you, me, David and Bena - and the countless lessons we took at GTC over the years. I am so blessed to have met you and been able to spend time with you, even if the period was much to short.  Do know that I will think of you every time I pick up my racket, practice a "granny serve" and join in your infamous "loberama." You will always be in my heart and with me on the court.

I got to know Mary when we were working at IMPACS.  Mary was professional and considerate. It was a pleasure working with her.  I had been thinking of her recently and was shocked when hearing about her death.  Mary was a wonderful lady.  I will miss her.  May she rest in peace.

How deeply sorry I am to learn of Mary's passing.  I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to know her during her time with Canada World Youth. I had the privilege of knowing Mary in two of the seasons of her life and it's great to see her remembered by others who shared both of those times. I remember long talks with Mary as teenagers in youth group activities as we were sorting out who we were and dreaming about who we might become. Then, our paths crossed again as we worked at Capilano supporting APMCP students, especially during their co-op placements in Asia. Now our long chats were from the perspective of professional women juggling the complex roles of wives, mothers, daughters, and siblings - sharing fond memories, laughing together, and still dreaming of the changes we wanted to make to our world. Mary, you made a significant difference – you were deeply, deeply loved, and you'll be greatly missed.

I've known Mary since we worked at Grandview weaving and making pottery. It was so good to see her here in Edmonton last year. It has always been a joy to know her. Very sad to hear she has gone. My love goes out to you David, Morgan, Thelma and family.

I got to know Mary when she came to work at Living Oceans Society. Her great organizational skills were instrumental in shaping and herding all us cats into a strong group of marine conservationists. Her ability to show a personal appreciation for what I brought to my work helped to make me a better person. I will miss Mary a lot. May she rest in peace.

Condolences to the family. I met Mary in 2001 where s he helped  with securing me a posting in  Thailand for the Capilano Asian studies program.  I recently was thinking of Mary  now that I am in the Philippines on the anniversary of Cory Aquino death. Mary had always highlighted her experience meeting. The former president at a women leaders in Asia forum she took part in.  A truly committed person and will be missed.

Mary, I am so sad to learn of your early departure from this earth.  You have rich soul from your love of East and West worlds.  You helped and inspired many of students from far away countries like me to settle and study at Capilano University.  I feel like I lost an 'Ibu' and a 'guru'.  May God bless your generous soul, and may you be happy in eternity.

Mary was an inspiration to me at Camp Douglas over 40 years ago.  She was a bubbly fun-loving friend to us Sr. girls.  I lost touch soon after, but always wondered where she was. I'm not surprised to see that she had a full and giving life. My sympathy for her family and friends.

I worked with Mary at Living Oceans Society for about five years. We worked closely together and had many laughs and some frustrations. Mary was always there when I needed support in any way. Mary helped guide me through my work and helped grow my career. She was very caring, and put the organizations needs above her own many times, even as she was battling cancer. Mary's strong will, organization, and passion helped LOS achieve many victories over the years. I am so sad Mary is gone, I will miss her. David and Morgan, my deepest sympathies to both of you.

Through the teen years, at Fairview, YP's, camps, Mary was always there, with laughter and joy.  She stood beside me 40 years ago as my MOH.  Though our lives have gone separate ways over the last years, I will always remember her with love.

Thinking of the family at this difficult time.  May Mary rest in peace and continue to watch over David and Morgan with angel wings!  We will miss you every Christmas.

Because Mary and I were squeezed into a very small office at Living Oceans for 4 years, we were privy to each other's work and life and Mary often offered good advice and loving support. We shared stories about our kids and the ups and downs of life. We also shared laughter, hugs, and tears of frustration or sometimes joy. Mary was a very compassionate and inspirational woman. I miss Mary in so many ways.   My sympathies and love to all her family.

I am shocked and sadden by this news.  Mary had been a mentor for me when I was just entering into the international development world 30 years ago.  We collaborated many times over the years.  She had a brutal sense of humour, a deep store of empathy and a sharp mind.  I find myself crying as I write this.  I didn't know Mary was sick, we hadn't seen each other in a while.  What a tremendous loss to our community which will be felt for many, many years to come.  My warmest wishes to her family and particularly her husband and her daughter Morgan.  Morgan - you're mom couldn't have spoken more glowingly about you.  She always lit up when your name came up.

I was saddened to read of Mary's death. Our lives intersected through our teens in camps, ice skating and various church activities.  The Mary I knew was passionate, enjoyed life and laughing. I am sorry I didn't know the adult Mary. You will miss her so much. My sympathies and love to you.

Mary Lindsay was one of the godparents of Canada's first Seedy Saturday in Vancouver in 1990. Mary opened many eyes to the critical role women play around the world in putting food on the table and that heritage seed is the heart of food security. Women are the heritage seed protectors of the world of hybrids. The results of Mary's words and courage in her actions will live in 1000s of people around the world through their actions and stories. That's a legacy she leaves that will play a huge role in food security issues and women's issues globally. Mary touched many lives and hearts.

Mary was a kindly easy-going person who was a pleasure to deal with at Canada World Youth.
Condolences to the family and RIP.

Her smile, humour and passion will carry on despite this very sad news. She was such a pleasure to know even for a short while. I can only be thankful for that.  Condolences to the clan - whom I know she so cherished.

Mary was not only an excellent colleague, she was a great friend and mentor to all who worked with her.  Her unique mix of humour, determination, empathy, tough talk, clear strategic thinking, and love was a great gift to all of us.  I am heartbroken by this news and offer my deepest condolences to her family and all her friends.

Her tenacity, determination, compassion and warmth made of Mary an exceptional colleague.  All of us here at USC Canada who had the chance to work closely with her in the early 1990s remember her fondly.
