I was thinking of Mike today and used Google to find his whereabouts.   I'm so sorry to learn of his passing.  I worked with Mike at Transport Canada.  He was simply the absolute best Regional Director of Finance.  He was an excellent colleague who supported his teammates by sharing his knowledge and expertise.  He told me he was retiring to spend time with his family because he liked work but loved his family.  I bumped into him once after his retirement and he was truly enjoying it.  You must miss him terribly as he was an awesome human being.  I'm sorry this is so late but I did want you to know that I really appreciated him.

Throwing my mom a  surprise party for her 75th Birthday, but the biggest surprise was you and the family being in town to celebrate her.  It was the hardest secret to keep from her for six months, that you would be here in Toronto, she was so happy she couldn't walk down the stairs into the venue :)
