It is with deep sadness that the family of Oliver announces his passing at the age of 66 after a courageous battle with cancer. He fought with all of his strength and dignity, dreaming of the day he would receive a kidney transplant.
He is survived by his loving wife Jo-Anne Sterns and his parents John and Gerti Baranowski, his aunt and uncle Monika and Gary Studer, Mother-in-law June Sterns, and Brother-in-law Doug Sterns and many caring longtime friends.
Oliver was a great guy, everyone enjoyed his humour.
He loved his life and enjoyed it to the fullest while he could.
Let us all sign up to become Organ Donors, let’s make it easier for someone else to be an Organ Recipient. That would be his final wish.
There will be no funeral by his request.
