With sadness our family announces the passing of Pavel Gajdos on May 17th, 2019. He was predeceased by his wife Linda. He is survived by his two daughters Marcia (Jamie) and Shannon (Ivan), and sister Maria Katanic of Ohio. He also leaves behind four grandchildren (Lukas, Haily, Sierra and Olivia) that knew him as “Papa”.
Pavel will be missed by many including his large extended family in Ohio, Colorado, Missouri, Texas and Minnesota. Pavel was born in Croatia and immigrated to Vancouver in 1964. Upon arriving in Canada he met his lovely wife Linda who he was married to for 48years until her passing in 2012.
Pavel was a butcher by trade and worked at Overlander Meats and Freybe Foods, retiring in 2008. Pavel was very social would strike up conversation wherever he went.
A celebration of life with be held on Saturday June 8th at 2pm at the Delta Hotels Burnaby Conference Centre 4331 Dominion Street Burnaby, British Columbia V5G 1C7
