1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver, BC
November 7, 1931 – May 19, 2020
Peter was born in Calgary and attended Kitsilano High School after moving to Vancouver.
He graduated in hotel and restaurant management from San Francisco University. He began his career by building the first group of homes in Tsawwassen as a speculative developer. In 1970, he opened the first Old Spaghetti Factory in Gastown. This restaurant was an anchor that helped Gastown succeed, and fifty years later, the Old Spaghetti Factory chain is still expanding.
Peter was a long-time member of the Jericho Tennis Club, and was an active tennis player. He enjoyed hunting trips with friends, and the open road with his Jimmy, Vespa, and RV. He was also a talented handyman who could repair practically anything.
Peter was soft spoken, kind, and well-liked by everyone. After meeting Audrey, they spent many happy years together. He is survived by his son Paul, partner Audrey, his brothers Lee, Andy and Mike, and Audrey’s grandchildren William and Emma.
Special thank you to Dr. Fritz, doctors and nurses at VGH, and the Evergreen Nursing.
