It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Jean Synadinos, a beloved husband and friend. Peter was born on February 25th, 1948 in Matesi, Greece, and passed away on March 12th, 2023, at the age of 75 at the North Shore Hospice in North Vancouver B.C.
Peter was a kind and gentleperson, with a smile that could light up a room. He was a hardworking man, dedicating his life to his family and community. He was a respected member of the Vancouver Greek community, known for his generosity, honesty and compassion as well as insight. He always stood up for the underdog in both at work and in home life. Peter was loved and admired by all who knew him and what he stood for.
A quiet family man through and through. He was a devoted husband to his wife Man Loi and had many enjoyable trips to Hong Kong with her.
Peter had a passion for the beauty of nature, spending much of his free time in the outdoors. He was interested in classical Greek literature & music as well as Greek and Turkish folk music. He enjoyed hiking both as a globetrotter and as well as at his home in North Vancouver. Peter loved gardening and could often be found tending to his garden. He enjoyed many, many walks on the West Vancouver seawall over the years. Peter was also known to be an accomplished accordion player and on occasion was known to play on his balcony the soothing sounds and melodies that only he could play on warm summer nights.
Peter will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and love that will continue to inspire those who knew him.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the North Shore Hospice in honor of Peter's memory and the amazing care and compassion they showed and bestowed on Peter.
