Quinn Samuel Oliva, “The Mighty Quinn” was born on April 9, 1967 and lived his entire life in North Vancouver until his sudden passing on July 3, 2021 at the young age of 54. He was lovingly raised by his beloved mother Dona and cared for by his devoted sister Tanya.
Quinn was authentic and the real deal. He was highly intelligent, gifted, and kind. He graduated from Carson Graham in 1985 and went on to develop his passion for music as a sound engineer and then his passion for trees as an arborist.
He was a fixture in North Vancouver walking miles upon miles in the community with many stops at Tom Lee Music and Opus Art Supplies. Quinn loved to learn and could speak intelligently on any topic – he was known for engaging in long conversations! He lived a life of minimal means and sadly without the care or concern of his father.
Quinn radiated a strong soulful spirit and will be deeply missed and genuinely celebrated by his sister, his many good friends, including Buck, Steve, Joe, Mike, and Davin, his community and fellow residents at the North Shore Lookout.
Quinn left an indelible imprint on the lives of all those he touched. He now rests in peace with his beloved dog Brubaker and his dearest mom Dona. He sister will cherish the memory of them all with a memorial bench at Harbourside dog park.
