Réjane Nathalie Yvonne Marie Morin

Réjane was born in Laurier, MB in 1927 but her home was the nearby hamlet of Kerguenan, MB. She was one of six children of parents Marie Sainte Gallais and Jean Yves Callarec who had come from Brittany to homestead with other Bretons in the hamlet. Réjane never forgot her earlier years spent in the hamlet of Kerguenan and she was proud of her Breton parents.

Réjane who trained in nursing married Louis Joseph Morin in 1944. Together they raised six children. They had many homes over the years, until finally settling in Richmond in 1969, where Réjane remained for the rest of her life.

Although she had many interests, family was always her greatest joy. She loved each of her children, as well as her many grandchildren and an ever-expanding number of great-grandchildren. Each one was special to her. She took the time to listen and offer gentle words of wisdom. And she always had a box of chocolates available nearby to share with whoever happened to drop in.

Réjane is survived by her six children, Patrice, Claude, Joanne, Eliane, Michelle and Annette; their father Louis Morin and their spouses. She also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and so far, 13 great-grandchildren.

She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral will be held at 11:00 am on Monday 8 July 2019 in the Celebration Hall at Mountain View Cemetery, 5455 Fraser Street in Vancouver.
