1930 – 2017
Richard (Dick) Mathews died peacefully, Satureday, November 25, 2017. Dick was predeceased by his wife of 57 years. Irene. He survived by nephews: John, Ross, Harley and neices: Lorill RW, Wendy, Marion, Suusan, Lorill F. “Uncle “ Dick also had lifelong friendship with the Pearson family and was included in all family activities.
Dick was Born in North Vancouver and attended North Star school and North Shore College. He graduated from North Van High in 1947. Dick had a long career with the Motor Vehicle Branch of the Provincial Government, Dick retired after 35 years, he then enjoyed a long retirement spending many happy hours at his second home at Roberts Creek. Richard loved gardening at Roberts Creek as well as on Beatrice St., his tomato plants were his pride and joy. he would start the tomato seeds every year and when they were ready would deliver them to his friends. Golfing with his buddies was something else that Richard loved as well as his weekly bowling…

Dick will be sadly missed by those who knew him. Memorial Service will be held December 16, 2017 at 2:00pm at Boal Chapel, 1505 Lillooet Road, North Vancouver.
