Bob was born and raised in the Point Grey area of Vancouver and attended Lord Byng High School. A veteran of WWII in the Pacific, on return he attended UBC Law School and graduated in 1952. Bob was a founding partner of the law firm, Ratcliff, Kitchen and Reecke in North Vancouver, and practiced law until his retirement in 1989. An avid fisher, hunter and golfer, Bob also devoted 50 years to the Capilano Masonic Lodge# 164. In 1983 he was installed as the Grand Master of British Columbia and the Yukon, and continued to attend meetings until the fall of 2016. Survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Mary Rose, daughters Christina (David) Carol and Roberta (Rob), grandchildren Paul (Holley), Nicole (Kyle), Shannon (Peter), Cameron, Thomas and Robert, great- grandchildren Isla, Adelin, Emily and James, and his younger sister Ruth Magel of Kelowna. Heartfelt thanks from the family to the warm and caring staff of Maison Senior Living in West Vancouver. Memorial service will be held on Monday June 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Boal Chapel 1505 Lillooet Road North Vancouver, BC. In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice.
