RIP Mr. Kronquist. You will be missed by many West Van grads.

The single most unforgetable WVSS character/teacher/coach/advisor from my highschool days.  Thanks Coach.

Roger was a mentor to me during my two years of teaching at West Van Secondary. He showed a caring, nurturing attitude. Condolences to Rita and Roger's family. RIP Roger.

So sorry to learn of Roger's passing, Rita. We remember good times together. You are both in our thoughts.

He was a great Coach. i was on football team and Basketball. He was My Coach. on the last day of the Basketball Season in grade 8 he realized that i Had never scored a Basket. He yelled to the Team "everyone pass to Pantages"! they did . I got the basket. Thanks Roger! I will Never Forget You!

Blessings to you Rita. So very sorry to hear of Roger's sudden passing. His contributions over so many years to the students of West Vancouver is his lasting legacy. Also sorry that I am out of town which will necessitate my missing Wednesday's memorial.

Coach Kronquist: Thank-you for the all the good lessons you taught me, and many others, both on and off the football field. I will always be in your debt for the encouragement and wisdom you provided me. It was an honour to have been a student in your classes, a member of several of your teams, and to have later coached and worked with you at WVSS. You will be missed by all who knew you. A huge contributor in the West Vancouver School District and a terrific role model for both kids and teachers.  Enjoyed continuing the relationship with Roger in the Burnaby Seniors golf Club.  Condolences to his family---he was an exceptional teacher, coach and individual.

I was very sad to hear of Mr. Kronquist's passing. I had him as a coach for my football career at WVSS in the mid to late '70s. I helped with my sons football team when he was inHigh school and drew on what Roger had taught me to pass on to them! It's very funny as I was thinking about him ( as it turns out ) the day after his passing. I was remembering a few funny moments from some of the games!! He certainly did touch many lives and even some he never met. Blessings to you Rita and you're family!

Roger, you were an inspirational coach, and gave us a great knowledge of the football game as well as an important set of values that we could conduct ourselves later in life.  Your inspirational ways had a great influence on me as to why I chose teaching and coaching for my career.  I will certainly miss you.  I hope that you find the right rugby and football pitch in your next stage.  Best wishes
