Mrs. Sally Ann Mossley
February 3, 1928 – July 21, 2021
Sally Ann Mossley was born Stofka Jacia Laskoski in 1928 at Bassano Alberta.
Her parents Demitro and Hanka had emigrated there from the Ukraine. She moved to Vancouver when she was fifteen finding work at the Aristocratic Restaurant, the Marine Building and then at Hannay’s Photography Studio as a camera assistant and model.
She met Ellis Mossley the love of her life and future husband while visiting Britannia Beach where he worked in the mine. When the mine closed down in 1958 they moved to North Vancouver where they would live happily for the rest of their lives.
Sally was a homemaker and sold Avon products, she was also a lunch lady at Pauline Johnson elementary school for the West Vancouver school board. She was a loving wife, a wonderful mum, and a loyal friend. She adored little children and yard sale treasures.
When Sally got Alzheimer's, she mercifully didn’t seem to suffer much for it. She remained happy with a smile on her face, loving everyone around her, content in her world, enjoying music, crafting, plush toys, hearts and smiley faces. She continued to find pleasure and beauty in even the smallest of things and for that her family is grateful. We are also grateful to the Angels who helped us look after Sally at her home and then the kind, hard working staff of the Lynn Valley Manor who cared for her especially through the pandemic.
She leaves behind Kelly her daughter, Robin her son, Helen her daughter in law, Linda Laskoski her niece, beloved friends and relatives.
She will be dearly missed and oh so fondly remembered.
