Shirley passed away at Lions Gate Hospital. She is survived by her sons Gordon and Russell (Michelle), grandchildren Kieran and Kendall, and sister Dorothy (Paul). Shirley was predeceased by her husband Jim after 58 years of marriage.
Shirley was born in Edmonton and eventually moved to Vancouver where she worked as a teacher, substitute teacher and librarian. She enjoyed many years of living in Lynn Valley with her family and friends.
