Dear Uncle Tom!   Following in his (comedic) footsteps - we created a Joke Book full of his classics.  He had given John one of his little notebooks full of jokes he had compiled over the years.  We added to it each year with the groaners from the Christmas Crackers.     We pull it out every now and then at a family dinner and we say "lets hear some of Uncle Tom's jokes"   and we  enjoy the groaners once again.    How sweet he and Helen were to send everyone in the family a birthday card with a $20 bill inside every year until they went into care!    He used to include in my birthday cards clippings from the legal column of his local newspaper too (in case I might learn something).      My deepest sympathy to Larry, Susan , Chris and Lois and families.   Tom will be missed.   

I remember my Uncle Tom as always having sense of humour and a positive outlook on life.

During his all-too-brief visits to Montreal and the times I visited him in B.C., I never once heard him complain about anything.

He will be missed by all who knew him.
