Thank you to everyone who was able to make it out to Toni's Celebration of Life yesterday.  It was really nice to see you all and get to know Toni's beloved friends.

I spent a lot of time with Toni. We were good friends and I miss her a lot. I have a lot of good memories of our camping trips and photographing adventures. So many lovely places we went to. The Rockies,the badlands, vancouver island so many good memories.

I used to work with Toni at Lions Gate Hosptial….She was quite a cool chick to work with and I certainly looked up to her… Toni mentored me through my first years of nursing and I’ve never forgotten our time together.

My deepest condolences. Toni was one of my first nursing mentors. I had the privilege of working with her on the neuro floor at Lions Gate when I was a new nurse, and I’ll always remember how patient, warm, and caring she was…..and wow, was she ever strong for such a tiny person!! Years later, I’d run into her from time to time and we’d always have a great chat. She holds a soft spot in my heart, and will be missed. ❤️

I was so very sorry to hear of Toni’s passing. For such a small package, she had a huge presence! Toni worked on the neuro floor when I was a brand new nurse. What I remember most is her quiet strength and her interest in really listening to & understanding people. She was the type of nurse we should all strive to be; hard-working, diligent, warm and kind. Patients & staff alike adored her as she had such a calm & gentle energy about her while still being so funny. We were smoking pals & I will always remember her kindness & support when my brother was first ill. We stayed in touch even when I moved to Emergency & Toni to rehab. Every year when I put up my tree, I pull out the homemade ornaments she made me one Christmas we worked together. In my hallway hangs 1 of her pictures that always makes me smile & that I’ll treasure now more than ever. 
RIP Toni, you were a special lady ❤️

I’m so sorry to hear of Toni’s passing. Toni has always held a little special place in my heart. I used to work with her at Lionsgate Hospital on 7e, we got along very well and talked all the  time. Toni knew I was struggling financially and one day Toni came in to my office and gave me a cheque for $1000 as a gift. I couldn’t believe it, It was just her being kind and caring and giving. It’s been many years since I worked with her, but I would run into her every so often in Burnaby as we lived in the same neighborhood. Toni was a special lady.

Auntie Toni will be dearly missed by family and friends, remembered for her warm smile, sharp wit, and outgoing spirit. Like her mother, Toni loved books and gardening and cherished that special connection they shared. She also had a deep passion for photography, poetry, and meaningful conversation — gifts she freely shared with everyone around her. Toni was a respected colleague at Vancouver Coastal Health; after graduating from BCIT she began her career at Lions Gate, where she loved her time on the neuro ward, and devotedly served until her retirement. In her final days, Auntie Toni was exactly where she wanted to be — at home, listening to her radio, with her garden in view, surrounded by the beauty of nature and by those who loved her. Her presence will be greatly missed but will live on in our hearts forever.

With heartfelt sadness on Toni’s passing, I sent my condolences to all the family. I always appreciated Toni’s quiet, humour and laugh. Those were sweet memories in our teenage years and beyond. Physical distance and circumstances did not bring many visits in later years, but we talked on the phone. That underlying warmth was always present. In these last few years my thoughts held her in caring regard for the challenges she faced. What a perfect and exquisite picture of our dear Toni. You are missed, Rest in peace.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine the pain that you and your family are going through right now. My sincerest condolences go out to you all during this incredibly difficult time. 

Jehovah, our Lord, is fully aware of the sorrow you are feeling, and in His word, the Bible, He has promised that He will resurrect those who have passed. As it says in Revelation 21:4, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Please take comfort in knowing that Toni Michele Chubb will live again, just as Jehovah has promised. May Jehovah, our Lord, bring peace and comfort to you and your family during this time of mourning.
