I knew Warren from when I joined Bell over 20yrs ago. As Vancouver’s only female tech Warren didn’t treat me any different, just welcomed me as part of the team. In the early days when I joined he let me ride w/ him to various customer sites and during the drive would talk about his kids, share telecom knowledge, etc. Before he went to VCC his desk was directly across from mine. We would banter back n forth and every now and then one of us would push the envelope to get a rise out of the other; he would feign hurt, give a bit of side eye, and just when I thought uh-oh I’ve crossed the line he would burst out laughing.  

Thank-you Warren for your kindness. I will miss your stories, corny jokes and laughter. Rest in peace.

Warren, you were a very special man who left us way too soon
You,Jen and Angie became a part of our family when your daughter “Jen” married our son in 2019.
Although we have not known you for a long time we are so grateful for the time we did have
You will aways be remembered as the guy who was always there to do what was needed. 
From helping in the  kitchen after a big family meal, to the warm greeting at his campsite each morning with fresh coffee and a warm homemade bun before trotting off to the beach to play horseshoes or gather sea shells with your grandson.

I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Warren. Although we lost touch over the years, I still regularly think about the days when we were very close colleagues and friends. Warren and I worked together at a small company (Bel-com) in the late 90s and then eventually worked at Bell West together. We had so many laughs together working at various jobs  and into the late evenings often. We became close and he invited me into his home with his family. I remember having many dinners with them , going ice skating (I still remember the girls trying to push me over!), walks with the family dog around Burnaby mountain and mountain bike rides and even occasionally baby sat the girls.  I am sorry we did not keep in touch Warren, but the memories we created together will forever be with me and I will be sharing them with my family as well. Rest in peace friend, you will be greatly missed.

I moved to BC about 30 years ago and met/worked with Warren at Bell. We made some small talk when we met  and turned out we were both from Peterborough. For the next 20 years we worked and laughed together .  We always joked about Warren being from the East end and me the South end of town. 
To Warrens family, I am so sorry for your loss. I think of Warren every day since hearing the news, and though I’m sad, I think of all the good times we had. HE ALWAYS MADE ME SMILE AND ALWAYS WILL

Ross Silverthorne

Warren and I spent many a day snowmobiling, sailing, waterskiing and swimming when we were neighbour's in Ennismore. 
Warren also enjoyed music and introduced me to Tubular Bells and Frank Zappa which he played endlessly.
My father passed away when I was 16 and Warren was a great friend who showed compassion and understanding beyond his years.
We worked together building homes for a small company in our neighborhood and Warren always set the pace for whatever task we were given.
We packed up a U-Haul with our buddies and drove to Calgary with endless nonsense and laughs of which Warren was always a central figure.
In Calgary we worked together at the Firestone Tire plant (the Zoo)  and Hardy Engineering after that where again Warren poured himself into his work and responsibility always gaining respect from his employers and fellow workers.
I can hear his laughter as I write these memories.

The Hill family is in my thoughts and prayers as they cope with the devastating loss of Warren Hill. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him during our TTS/Witel and Roytel partnership – his presence will be deeply missed.

I loved running into Warren at VCC each day! Always cracking a joke, having a tease, such an uplifting spirit. He will be missed but his quirky and friendly demeanor will still be felt by all those who were lucky enough to know him here.

I am devastated to hear about the loss of Warren, “Faja.” He was truly one of a kind, and I feel grateful to have shared some special moments with him over the years.
I’ll always cherish our time together in Maui and our camping trip at Ross Lake  with his daughter Jen— memories filled with laughter and beautiful surroundings
My thoughts are with his family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest Easy Warren, you will be missed!

Warren - you left us too quickly. We are so lucky to have known you and blessed to have become family. We’ll cherish our memories with you. The way you cared to deeply know and see those around you will never be forgotten. The way he communicated with people, it was like you were the most important person in the room. You will be so missed at family dinners and game nights, playing everything at your own pace. We love you.

I remember when I was only a few weeks into working at the Vancouver Convention Centre and needed to bring some tools to my van. Warren didn't hesitate, he walked with me for about 10 mins and showed me how to access the drieway near our cave. When I got there, I was suprised he already brought everything out and was waiting beside the driveway so I could load it. I never even had to ask. That was just the kind of person he was. People from VCC knew him well and always greeted him, and Warren would greet them right back with the same warmth, often adding a light joke or a friendly comment that made everyone smile. Rest easy buddy. We'll miss you dearly. TECHOPS S3 signing off

It’s with heavy hearts that we say good bye to our long time friend, Warren. The laughs we shared are still very memorable. The boat tour up the Trent Severn Waterway all those years ago (1974?) is truly vivid some days. The fun times at Clonsilla, remembering you fondly.
We wish you peace in your resting place. 
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of his loved ones.
