Wijnanda (Bunny) Leonore SANNE, born in Vancouver, B.C. on November 29, 1936, passed away peacefully at New Vista Society care home in Burnaby, B.C. on November 3, 2023 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s/Dementia.
Bunny is survived by her two daughters Tammy (Dave) and Mersha and their father Ben, grandson Jeff (Lindesay) and great granddaughter Octavia. Also survived by her niece Susan, nephew Michael (Elaine), two sisters Trudi (Don) and Carol (Mark) and their respective families. Bunny was predeceased by her partner Bruce, sister Joyce and brother-in-law Les as well as her nephew-in-law Boyd.
Bunny will be remembered for her love of family and friends, her bright smile that lit up a room, her quick wit and her love of writing poetry and stories. She always had some type of music playing and loved watching her baseball games. Bunny had always wanted to travel and those dreams came true in her later years in life.
Mom, you will live on with us in spirit and everyday we will feel your love. You are at peace now and for that we are grateful.
There will be no service but instead we ask you to raise a glass and toast mom on November 29th which would have been her 87th birthday. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Alzheimer Society of BC.
